(( “Humanized” Chrysalis, only she’s not human at all, in the same way that “pony” Chrysalis isn’t a pony. Chrysalis strikes me very, very strongly as being an old fashion fairy, which is what I was going for with this. I find that a lot of people don’t know what fairies used to be like in the old days- they weren’t sweet and kind and people were terrified of them. They also used to kidnap babies and replace them with their own spawn, which were called… changelings. So I wanted to keep the otherwordly aesthetic of her and the insect like overtones to her while putting her into a ‘human’ shape. ))

I have to say, design wise, she was pretty damn cool looking.
